the wind,
whips her hair
as she stands,
at the waters edge
her bright blue eyes
stare into the distance
as she thinks,
of just ending it all
as she steps closer,
tears start to fall
its almost time
to just end it all
the pain
will all fade
when she takes,
her final breathe
one step closer,
to her death
it will all end,
fast
one step closer,
away from you
away from the world
all around her
one step closer,
to just disappearing
without a trace,
of where she went
one step closer,
to dying
of taking her last breathe
and leaving you
one step closer,
to saying goodbye
to you,
and everyone she loves
one step closer,
to the edge of nothing
where everything she loves,
disappears
well she's been gone,
for a while now
and you still miss her
every day

Thanks for a very challenging and poignant poem VICTORIA. I have lost Friends & Relations ~ through suicide and an unforeseen accident ~ some under 30 and it is very hard to bear. As your elegant poem suggests ~ I will never forget them ~ but I do regret the fact that thy are no longer HERE WITH ME ! That is the tragedy especially of SUICIDE. In the UK we have suicide counselling through the Samaritans and Friends of mine ~ who are Samaritans have succeeded in bringing many back from the brink. Thanks for sharing ~ every Blessing ~ Yours as ever BRIAN
Thank you BRIAN! I have tried many times to commit suicide but I have never succeeded in doing so.. I'm doing a little better but I still think about it sometime.. and if it wasn't for my friends and family I would have gave up long ago.. I'm thankful everyday for having them in my life. I wouldn't even be here without them. ~Again thank you for your feedback on it. ~ Yours as ever VICTORIA
