AN ALL-ENCOMPASSING RAINBOW ~ AWESOME ! A Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

I LOVE RAINBOWS ~ as they enrich the sky

They are sometimes single ~ sometimes double

Always full of colour from pure white light. 

But the expanded rainbow (shown) ~ is an 

Entirely Different experience ! 

YOU become an integral part of it !

 

Sometimes a Rainbow ~ breaks is own boundaries 

And embraces the whole Sky & Sea & Shore

And WE all become immersed ~ enclosed 

INSIDE  the all encompassing SPECTRUM

 

RED  ORANGE and MAUVE in the Atmosphere

YELLOW  GREEN and BLUES on the Beach & Sea

Sunlight refracted by unseen prisms

Somehow we're ~ Somewhere over the Rainbow !

      THANKS CHRIS ~ You know just how much I like beautiful things ! For me the symbiosis between a picture and a poem is very important. I get a lot of inspiration for poems from pictures and v v. Often when I have penned a poem I search for a picture to illustrate it ! Is it a a Chicken & Egg situation ? Heavenly Hugs ~ BRIAN
