BIRDWATCHING ~ HIDE & SEEK ~ ENJOY

BRIAN & ANGELA

MARSH HARRIER READY TO SWOOP ~ CLASSIC

SUFFOLK UK ~ is the place for BIRDS

The coast ~ SEAGULLS are seen and heard

Warm in the hides ~ if it's cold and wet

You can watch the TERNS and AVOCET

Some birds you see and some you hear

In marshes woods or at Minsmere

Your Birdwatch Book a handy checker

Should you spot NIGHTJAR or GREENWOODPECKER

MARSH HARRIERS are an awesome sight

If you should glimpse one in mid-flight

And in the Spring it's nice to sit

And watch WOODLARKS and BEARDED TIT !

ROBINS  of course come pecking round

For crumbs wherever Folk are found

The CURLEW sounds a strident note

Trilling deep down in its throat.

I love Bird Watching now and then

There's dozens more ~ I've mentioned TEN

Our habitats we must preserve

Support Bird Centres ~ help conserve !

Great place just a few miles from me is Rutland Water in a lovely rural setting - I often go there but to paint - nevertheless I do love birdlife and this is a great poem Brian.

This time of year after a shower my yard fills up with robins. I have wood duck in the pond and blue heron. It is a real treat when a piliated woodpecker visits. Nice poem to remind us of nature.
