WHERE EAGLES FLY

Michael Edwards

WHERE EAGLES FLY

Once the seat of kings

it hangs amidst the growth of vines

where crystal streams cascade

and pantiled roofs absorb the sun.

The only road a stoney track

with hairpin bends where legend says

the trap was laid at break of dawn

and worthy men were laid to rest

for noble cause where eagles fly.

Thanks Christina - the paintings a bit different even for me and involved printing using an old sculpted towel - great fun.
