CAGE: 4 minutes 33 seconds
The silent wind and string
to which I listened
in mute admiration
and eagerly awaited
the next performance
heard in silence.
CREED: Work No 227
In changing light
with eyes wide open
I slowly enter
the empty room,
alone,
a work of art
I view unseen.

- Comment from author about the poem: If you are not familiar with the work of these two artists you may wish to look them up. Cage 'wrote' a piece of music in which the instruments remained silent whist Creed exhibited a piece of work which consisted of an empty room. The piece of art which I painted last year is called Cyclate.

Work of art is a matter of fact and faith. Most of your thoughts are 'unseen' yet you have that faith to communicate the fact you have not seen. Bravo that is a nice poem.
Thanks for your comments - you summarise it so well.
I agree totally with SunnydeMajesty. Always wonderful works you post.
Bless you - you are so kind - and such an encouragement.

Thanks so much Tony - I'd better get the pen out and start writing a few more - now see what you've done.
Welcome
wow ~ i was seriously transported! very beautifully written! i love the mystique and mystery feeling to these eloquent lines.
I have great admiration for your work Janet so you can imagine how I felt to receive your encouragements - thanks so much.
I was not familiar with either and did look them up. Being more a traditionalist, it was not my thing. However your tribute to them is outstanding. Sunnyde M's comment is profund.
Both these artists made a great impact in the UK although not all of complimentary. Thanks so much Augustus for your gracious comments.
