Myrrh ~ Frankincense ~ and

SPAM ~ Gifts of Astronomers

and a Gastronomer

 

Chunky pink temptress

I can no longer remain

vegetarian ! 

 

Slow down she whispered

sensuous guides my trembling hands

turn the key gently !

 

Don't cry Argentina

your little tin of meat ~ soars

above the pampas

 

Above all others

porcine treat without equal

there's only ONE ~ SPAM

      I DON'T BELIEVE IT ! Two comments and two lovely people who HATE SPAM ~ take care we know where you both live ! Are you aware that in 2017 SPAM is 80 years old and that 8 billion tins of SPAM have been sold Worldwide. The vast majority of people in the UK like SPAM served in any of the 30 reccomended ways See "SPAMALOT ~ 30 Spam Positions !" Thanks for your comment BRIAN

        THANKS \"A\" ~ Some cans still have the KEY but there is a new resealable can with yellow plastic top. It is still popular in the UK and I use about one tin per week. Nice in sandwiches or fried for breakfast or as a Spam Risotto for dinner ~ very versatile and very consistent in its flavour ! ~ Yours BRIAN

        I haven't had spam in a while but I like it, I grew up poor, so it works for me. Love your poem! Love kats rhyme in her response. Definitely not healthy but convenient. Great job on this Haiku! Hugs--Christina
