CONVERGING PATHS
Left all alone,
with no one to care for.
Both sought a new direction
that led them down converging paths
and took them there
to Kirby Grange
Still alone
but gently settling,
slowly, surely, friendship formed.
With empathy and understanding,
both grew close
at Kirby Grange
Directions found,
their paths converged,
their hopes and dreams
now realised,
together both
at Kirby Grange.

- Comment from author about the poem: This one about a real couple who met in a retirement village - it was published in village's monthly magazine having been requested by one of the residents. Plus, of course, one of my watercolours.

Leaving alone is so sad. But new direction is sought here. Relationship is now gently settling. Friendship is now formed with empathy and understanding. This is very beautiful poem.
Thank you - that is very kind of you Pintu - glad you liked it.
