My daughter came home yesterday very upset
her boyfriends mother had passed, I went into
the kitchen and these words just came to me
I've not changed a word, here exactly how they came.
Grief
On this day of no special day,
Grief walked in the door.
Such a small insignificant word,
With consequences absurd.
What can you say, sorry for your loss,
A days light now covered in moss.
No sight to see, no air to breath,
The suddenness now not confined.
I cannot speak any language,
To relay what I feel inside.
Don't speak to me of peace,
For those that's left behind.
A magicians wand you can not give me,
To rewind this place and time,
Just hold me tight till
end of this days light
And those have yet to come.
Confine a space within your heart,
For me my love when I finally return.
Time will not diminish,
Grief, you will not win this time.
For my life will surely fly
Then my love we'll be together
And for eternity we will lie....
my love and thoughts for anyone
that is trying to cope with grief...

- Comment from author about the poem: grief can last a lifetime Or Can be coped with quicker When my daughter came into The house yesterday all I could Think of was my uncle who passed A few years ago. He was the only One to stand up to the evil thing In my life.... The words in my Poem just walked into my head I've put them down exactly as They came...
