Dragons

mammyo3

I believe in dragons

Well I say that to my kids

I feed them daily in the garden

they hide under the bin lids

I say they wait till children

have all gone off to school

they go to their favourite mummy

who makes them raspberry fool

When the dragons see the kids

heading back to their home

they quickly leave by the back door

and hide beside the garden gnome

Once all the children are in

and eating up all their tea

the dragons go back to the bins

via the kids bikes for a little pee.

  • Comment from author about the poem: this is part of a collection I done, never published just written in a book called the mad mum collection, poems by a demented housewife, just a bit of fun and something for the kids to read when they are older. I lied a lot to my kids when they were younger, this is one of many lies told to them.
