Mountains, Lakes
Are joined together--
Glorify,
Mighty God;
Summoning your spirit to soar
To the high heavens.
Mountains love
The butterfly-blue lakes;
They reflect
His handiwork.
A spectacle of God’s Glory

- Comment from author about the poem: The Shadorma is a Spanish poetic form made up of a stanza of six lines (sestet) with no set rhyme scheme. It is a syllabic poem with a meter of 3/5/3/3/7/5. Bob Ross was an American painter who painted beautiful mountain & lake portraits. The pic I used here is one of his paintings.

Awesome write
A great write - I must add that Bob Ross was not a favourite artist of mine but he was able to capture realism.
Really, why wasn't he a favorite of yours? And, by the way, thank for your comment.
I'm not an art critic nor I know what to look for in a painting. I just love mountains, lakes, and nature scenes.
Interesting form, new to me, thanks for that. Terrific painting, who cares why or how? It is beautiful.
I think you did a great job expressing the majesty portrayed. You gave it a life it might not, otherwise, have. The elusive handiwork of Nature surely outshines any attempt by Man to capture it. Great poem - Phil A.
Phil A., you've expressed it correctly... That's they point of the poem. In this case, I believe that God is the creator as Ps. 19:1 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands."
GRACIAS AMIGO ~ Por un muy hermoso sestet ! The HEAVENS declare the Glory of God and He chose Planet earth to demonstrate His Creative Handiwork ~ AMEN. Thanks for sharing the POEM and the PAINTING both bring Glory to our Great Creator ~ AMEN ~ Thanks for caring BRIAN
The picture and poem
Go hand in hand
A thing of beauty...
Well done!!!
