- Comment from author about the poem: Every Country produces its own Cheeses and in the USA each State has its own BIG CHEESE ! The best Cheese in the World comes from the UK and there are 730 named varieties ~ two for each day of the Year ! They have to be tasted to be enjoyed. French and Italian Cheeses are also very versatile and tasty ! If you are on holiday you should always try the local cheeses. Stilton is my favourite English Cheese and a Jar of Stilton and a Bottle of Vintage Port is always my best Christmas gift ~ to give and (hopefully) to get. Cheese and Wine Parties are a very popular FUNDRAISER in the UK ~ There must be a minimum of TWELVE varieties of Cheese and FOUR choices of WINE. A C & W Party can also be just a Social Occasion and are often served in the interval or after a Concert. The British are a very civilised Race and we all love our Cheese & Wine. Comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX

What about chedder? I've got some on toast now!
Beautiful Philip and the best for Cheese on Toast ~ had some last night ! I chose CAERPHILLY to honour the WELSH (it is the Rugby Season) and also it had THREE syllables ! Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN
Great write. I love cheese rather it is melted on pizza or baked potato or sliced and placed on a sandwich with a slice of tomato. May be cheese and crackers for a treat. No matter how you look at it, cheese is AWESOME!
Thanks TONY for your very cheesy comment ~ yummy ! BRIAN
Please check my latest FUSION ~ Thanks BRIAN
Welcome, and I shall do so
Very very yummy write. I love muenster cheese on crackers or anything really, lol. But what I don't have is a favorite wine! I'll drink a little if offered but i"d prefer a sweet wine. Thanks for educating us on cheese! Hugs in spirit-Christina
Thanks for your comment CHRIS ~ Most American cheeses are a bit rubbery but I have had MUENSTER and it is soft and creamy and great on crackers or toast ~ good choice ! Barsac is a Nice White Dessert Wine to serve with mild cheese. I prefer a Red Italian Wine like a Sangiovese especially with a strong Italian cheese ~ like Gorgonzola ~ which is my Mum's favorite and one of mine ! Full bodied hugs ~ BRIAN
And what about Haloumi - I have a place in Cyprus where we eat it all the time - another great un Brian
Thanks MICHAEL ~ I'm glad I included HALOUMI one of my favourite GREEK cheeses I like the salty taste. Pleased you liked the Poem ~ BRIAN
