Sight

Christina K

I see you

with my eyes

and I remember

that the real you

isn't the surface you,

you're hiding underneath,

in a place

where eyes cannot see.

This could well apply to more than simply the souls we know by face, albeit I prefer to wander there as you painfully remind us things are not always what they seem. However, me thinks it was not false when they called eyes the window to the soul, you know? Care to enlighten me? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks CHRIS for another though provoking poem. In appraisal the outward appearance can be false and superficial ! It is the inner Man (and Woman) that matters ! In my experience it takes all our senses to really KNOW someone and that is essence of exploratory LOVE. Thanks for caring ~ BRIAN (UK) Please check my poems ~ Thanks B
