I’ve never been one,
To walk on by.
I am a problem solver,
That’s me, that’s I.
Offer help needed,
Hope it’s appreciated.
Impacts me,
And, my work’s related.
But, when a person,
Is lazy, not serious.
And, makes my job harder,
That makes me furious.
I’ll never sit there,
With my arms folded.
Or, be rude and impolite,
Make one feel scolded.
I’ll hit the ground running,
Do it, get it done.
Heaven forbid, you miss your butt break,
Or, your gossip fun.
If a faucet’s running,
Not stand by and stare.
I’ll turn off the handle,
So, there’s no waste there.
I’ll keep my promise,
People depend on me.
Do more than I have to,
It is this point, you see.
When you’re part of a chain,
That consists of links, many,
Be one of the strong ones,
With few mistakes, if any.
If you just sit by,
Be like the others, lame.
It will be your reflection,
No different, just the same.

Good write. We should all help each other.
I totally agree! Thanks.
Well written and expressed
Thanks Tony!
Welcome
I love being your dependent! thanks a lot!
No problem! 🙂
Wonderful poem! You are the kind of gal that we should all strive to be! Great write!
Thanks Christina. I am sure, as a nurse, you would agree that EVERYONE working with you should be pulling their weight, as it can more often than not be a case of life and death. Unfortunately, the people I work with think their job is to do as little as possible. Thanks again for the comment!
Unfortunately, not everyone does pull equal weight. It gets frustrating!
Could not agree more! Thanks again.
There's still a lot of people out there who know how to work and can be relied on, but I also know plenty who just like to leave it to someone else. I hope I am the former, I keep trying anyway. Great lines.
I agree Philip. All we can do is do our jobs and if doing yours depends on others doing theirs, then one would hope we would all work together to get the job done. Thanks so much for your comment!

Love it - I feel the same - & cute photo😁
Thanks Jane!
Maybe put one of those whoopie cushions on her/his seat that makes some offensive noise, or recording like "get off your lazy butt". We can all relate. Nicely done but you insulted that little kitten, heh, heh.
Augustus, ha ha, you made me laugh! Sorry about the kitten. And, maybe one of those big red buttons on my desk (like the ones that say Bullsh*t) might get them off their rears. Probably have to have it say "Quittin' Time!" every time I push it. I will think of something appropriate! Thanks again.
