Every morning I come down the stairs,
And every morning I get lost,
Lost in a world of music and words.
I listen to the works of the great composers,
As I write these words Beethoven plays for me,
Taking me into his world of musical wonder.
Words flow onto the page with a stutter
As the music steals my soul,
I have to listen to those beautiful sounds.
The words then come back into my mind,
And they seem to write themselves
Onto this page,
And on many other pages.
Every morning I get lost,
Lost in a world of music and words,
Until that time the real world
Interrupts my glory,
And its reality steals my mind and body.

A fine write. I only know the very famous pieces by composers really.
Thanks Orchi, music has been in my life for 60 or more years.
I am in the same world when I go out to my studio and get lost in paint and Einoudi. Beethoven is for indoors - love them both. Great write Goldfinch
Thank you Michael, I can obviously understand how you feel, I can also understand your liking Einoudi, I have some of his work and am impressed, the difficulty I have with music is that I like and enjoy so much. The question "What is your favourite piece of music?" is impossible to answer, I normally answer glibly "The piece I am listening to at the moment!"
Einoudi - Diario Mali
Rachmaninov - Cello Concerto 3rd movement
Beethoven - anything
Mahler - 4th
Sibelious - Almost anything.
That's at the moment - might be different tomorrow.
I hate when that happens, very confusing, pen no wait, brush no wait a minute, guitar oh no I can't decide, go back to bed, good idea maybe later then good night! getting to know you getting to like everything about you....boy I must be still tired this morning.WW
Tiredness can produce strange consequences sometimes WW perhaps a lie down in a darkened room may be the answer, mind you it doesn't work for me, you may be amazed at the ideas for poems come to me at 3 in the morning.
Sorry I just saw this I may have fallen back to sleep or I may have had a dream?.... were we talking around 3:oo am? I am so refreshed now though...did you get the bird feed I sent? WW I got your friend ship thanks I was waiting for that nice job sending it in a plain brown wrapper!
This is very good gold,
Sounds a most wonderful
Start to any day....
Words and Music...
Just one word to add.
Love.... There.. Perfect..
Love the last lines Goldfinch60, all of the lines.
Well written and expressed Great write
