Carrying On.

Fay Slimm.

Carrying On.

Sea crosses curved world,
pulls in its waters
as ebb and fall tides
hold back mighty floods
from earth's bolstered sides,
so life carries on
against crash and cry
of breaker destruction
and fights with great fervour
to keep boats on shore
when waves become mighty.

We are both about the sea today. You congered up some thoughts: why does not the water just drip off the sides of the world? Another- why do we go out in rough seas? The sea is telling us to stay home. Does it really welcome us treading its waters? Enjoyed.

Man's struggles against the sea: Storms, huge tides, floods, tidal waves or tsunamis, shoreline damage, and men lost in boats/ships. Yet, life goes on and the challenge continues. Fay, you have a way with words, and I enjoyed this one immensely. _ Phil A.
