Blue Sky

Tris Eaton

Blue sky
So deceiving
Making me think
That it's warm

The sun is out
But there is snow
On the ground
The chilling wind
Blowing around

You make me dream
Of being a bird
Flying around
In the big blue
Atmosphere

I have a longing
To escape this world
Leave this ground
And soar

Fly away from
All of my problems
All of the struggles
That I face
And be free

  • Comment from author about the poem: I'm sitting in school, looking out the window. The sky seems to be teasing me because I'm stuck here, oh so very bored.

Good write, I too would like to fly like a buzzard, just sail around on my still outstretched wings.

This is so good and so much reminds me of a visit to Hitlers Eagles nest high up in the Bavarian Alps. I went there on the first day it was opened in late spring with the melting of the snow - the snow was still there on the ground and yet people were sunbathing. There were eagles flying round and I was enthralled despite its place in History.
