The Light of the World shines over us all,
As it shined through his life.
This man who was no Scapegoat,
But painted his thoughts onto canvas.

Vincent
He was born in the Netherlands
The son of a clergyman
He when to Amsterdam
And became a preacher man
He failed at theology
He lived in poverty
“The potato eaters”
The palette is very dark
He went to France
“The postman roulin”
“House of Arles”
Show the master’s style
“The night café”
Expresses gloom
And the violence of a late night barroom
The work begins to show his insanity and fear
He slices off his own ear
When he is well his work is fine
“The heartbroken expression of our time”
The master has lost his mine
“In wheat fields under hot and troubled skies”
He shoots himself and then he dies
In Memory of Vincent Van Gogh 1853-1890

Knowing mostly the dark side of life. turning his pain into art. the raven who screams nevermore. edgar allen poe.

Twyla Tharp once said "Art is the only way to escape without leaving home." So I guess imagination and expressing yourself helps you escape from reality

The French artist Henrí Matisse
Also known as wild beast.
Revolutionary colors,
Purchased art of others.
Europe traveled extensively,
But in war did not flee.
Early leader amongst the Fauves.
Rich color faces daubed.
Bold and bright to say the least
The whole world misses Matisse.
