At what point did it fall apart
When did the light burn out
where do we even keep the bulbs
its so dark I cant see my feet
yet I cant stop walking forward
it’s a circle with no end
the forever walk ahead
the forever walk, the forever end?
Will the snow ball melt
At the bottom of the hill
Its dark, cold
Yet I walk
Forever alone
My feet grow tired
And my eyes strain
Will the fire melt me
Do I care?
May I lay my head?
I’m so tired, I wish the end

The end is no place to be, keep going forward towards the light.

WELCOME MM ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ nicely penned but so so sad. Live gets like that for all of us sometimes ~ so we can empathise with you ! However ~ I always find that there is LIGHT ~ at the end of the Tunnel and REFUGE & COMFORT at the bottom of the Hill. Thanks for caring & sharing ~ You will find MPS a very supportive site. Please check my poems ~ Thanks BRIAN (UK)
First poem? Welcome. A good one to start with. I liked how you went from the light to the bulbs, from feet to walking, but dark and cold was a shock. Tired and strained sounded like giving up. If true. Don't. your talent would be wasted. Keep on writing, Work it out, get back to smiling. You're too good at this to let it go. More to come I hope. - Phil A.
