TIME

TIME

Everyday another worry

Running, running, always in a hurry.

Places to go people to meet

But there are beaches to walk in bare feet.

Each day goes to the next one

Till it seems together they run

Never a chance to just be still

But I have roses in my yard to smell.

From the moment we get up and go

Until our head hits the pillow

Seems the day goes to fast

No time to sit and relax.

A simple walk in the park

Sitting outside starring at stars

Meditating in the warmth of the sun’s rays

Or splashing in mud puddles during the rain.

Feel the breeze

Take in the smell of trees

Watch butterflies floating thru the air

Let your smile appear.

Time…as simple as it sounds

Time to see and feel what’s around

Walk away from busy for just a moment or two

Feed the mind and soul that’s you.

Very good write and I can relate to this, even in retirement there still seems to be demands on my time.

Now there's a coincidence - both of us have published a piece called Time today - yours is a different take on the subject and so well written .
