Pain

Moonhead

the pain in my temples

Is like a dagger to the head

It only recides

When asleep in my bed

Nothing will stop it

Thoughts make it worse

No one can see it

Or knows how it hurts

This invisible pain

Is always with me

Understanding people would be

If only they could see

WELCOME MOONHEAD (great pen name) Thanks for your poem. When I broke my arm I got a lot of TLC because everyone could see my sling and the plaster. As you say unseen pain remains unacknowledged ! I trust it will recede and get no worse. Thanks for sharing ~ trust it has been cathartic ! Pleas check my Poems ~ Thanks BRIAN (UK)

If it is so persistent get it checked out. I had a headache for 13 years and eventually had to have an operation.
