KRISTEN ELIZABETH OLIVER, Acrostic-Style

JThomson

Knowing that I share half of a heart with you

Realizing that I get to wed my best friend

I feel ecstatic, alive, and blessed

Sometimes I have to pinch myself

To make sure I am not dreaming

Even when I have nightmares with a bleak outlook

Nothing can haunt me as long as I can feel you next to me

Every time I look into your eyes

Life as I know it has taken on a whole new meaning

I flash on a glimpse of the rest of our lives together

Zoning out and most definitely crying watching THIS IS US.

All the while hoping that we have a bigger family

Because you are my family, my love, my life

Endless Love, a classic 80's lovers tune, pops into my head

Tawhoo Love can never be said enough between us

Holding your hand now, I feel at ease and loved.

Our families gathered here today is sign that this stuff just got real

Loneliness in our hearts is a thing of the past

I promise to love and cherish you for the rest of our days

Vehemently, for all who do not yet know

Echoing the passion shared of greatest loves in all history

Real Love, I have found you, and I need search no more

WELCOME JT ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ I love acrostics which imposes both a limit (number of lines) and a limitation (first letter of each line) on the poem. This is an excellent "free verse" Acrostic. Being in Love and knowing it ~ is a great Blessing ! Thanks for caring and sharing ~ please check my poems thanks BRIAN (UK)
