A scary good story
Was told unto me
By a man, I could hear
but never did see
He spoke from the shadows
A voice from the dark
T’was a cold winter’s eve
The weather was stark
The tale that he wove
Full of mayhem and more
He murdered his lover
Her name Elenore
Killed in the valley
Throat cut on the plain
Spending time on the water
He hides his pain
Heart full of sorrow
He cries in the rain
His soul it is shattered
Just his fear does remain
He looks to the valley
His heart pines evermore
For his lost lover
The sweet, Elenore!

- Comment from author about the poem: this is a study of a homicidal maniac who\\\'s compassion cannot go beyond his own feelings, with total disregard for his victims life or desires and wallows in his self pity and the lonely-ness brought on by his actions? a sort of rap of Poe? I hope you enjoy

Almost Poe-ish. A stark and scary tale of lost love, lost mind, and murder. A great way to start my week. Somehow I think it's going to get even scarier. A great beginning. A dark tale of deranged murder. Lovely. - Phil A.
thank you Phil~
