As You Like It.

Goldfinch60

If ‘All the world’s a stage’

And “All the men and women are merely players”

Why do so many of them play bad people?

This stage that we live on could be glorious.

So much is in this world,

Enough for all,

But no, some want more,

Want to keep it for themselves,

No thought of helping others,

Only thinking of themselves

And not the starving or the dying,

That are leaving our world in droves.

One day I would like the world to be saved,

To be the place where all are at peace,

All are safe,

All are fed,

And love abounds around us.

The world would become a stage,

‘As you like it’.

You paint a picture of global paradise to which I add a loud Amen dear poet friend. May that wish for safety and peace one day come true. A n inspiring read.

Good write. I don't agree with all of Shakespeare's quotes, sayings, etc.

Only together will we all face this and succeed and I hope we do. I believe we need more than hope though, we need action. Absolutely wonderful write.
