The search

willyweed

Once there was a time when I was too wild

War is so bitter and I never smiled

I cursed and I swore and I prayed to my Lord

To give me the answers that I had searched for

I wondered daily what was in store

Would I be blinded, crippled, or killed in this war?

I came back home totally confused fully detached and feeling abused

I felt my prayers had not been heard

That my Lord Jesus Christ had not gotten the word

But I was so wrong as wrong as could be

The Lord had heard and he had a plan

He gave me understanding to see who I am

He gave me a soul mate a very old soul

My empty heart he filled it with love

Then sent me two angels from heaven above

I guess the good Lord wanted to be sure

Because shortly thereafter he sent me two more

Now I had purpose and meaning in life

Four beautiful daughters and a wonderful wife

A humble home and a faithful dog

More than any man could expect and then some more

Love is the answer it's simple and pure Love is the answer

Of this I am sure.

Love is indeed the answer - with the greatest wife, two loving boys, a loving daughter and 6 great grandchildren I couldn't ask for more and so I am with you and your super scribe all the way Willy.
