Salvation Sureties

orchidee

Fits tune and hymn name: 'Be still for the presence of the Lord'

Based on 1 Corinthians Chapter 1 part

********

We now preach Christ crucified, for He

Did die upon the tree

And then o'er the grave did rise again

Salvation for all men

He showed God's wisdom for

He obeyed His plan sure

A sign too, He showed God's mighty power

Delivers us each hour

That wisdom, sign, satisfaction be

To all Jews, Gentiles, see

Those Jews who did seek always for signs

Did fall on pleasant lines

And Gentiles wisdom sought

Christ to them He has taught

His plan of salvation now for all

Who on Him humbly call

Of God, Christ is made unto us sure

These graces evermore

Wisdom and righteousness these gifts fair

We may now in them share

Sanctification too

Redemption, made anew

And so as is written, it is this

Glory in Him, find bliss

It's difficult Soul. I may give to Africa, etc. I don't know the person in the USA. Well you may reply - I don't know the Africans either. I have my 'system' of giving though.

Oops don't shoot me down in flames. I corrected a typo. I put 'Chris' instead of 'Christ'! if you spotted it before, you may say 'Who's Chris'?!

Good write again Orchi. You have actually hit on one of the Hymns that I am going to have at my funeral (in many years time) Be Still is a special hymn to me which brings back wonderful memories.

Me too maybe G/F. We are both millions of years old already - or should I speak for myself only?!But we was both there in 1066. We remember when....... and so we recount the tale.
