Seeds Of Sorrow

Laurie christine

Seeds of sorrow planted deep

They drink my tears when I weep

And like the soils nourishment

My heart devoured to their content

And like the sun I warm the ground

Like weeds their roots have spread around

and each will seed a different kind

and crowd the field within my mind.

My soul entangled in and around

Where they have poisoned fertile ground

The more they drink the more I weep

These seeds of Sorrow planted deep

WELCOME FRIEND ~ Thanks for your first ~ very elegant ~ poem. It is sad and a reminder the every day SEEDS are planted in our hearts. Sometimes by people ~ sometimes by circumstances ~ they can be "Seeds of Joy" but are often "Seeds of Sorrow" which destroys our inner Joy and makes us Sad. Thinking of you praying for you ~ BRIAN (UK)
