Who I Am.
Liberation-discharge has a loud call, need
to unwind shouts boldly,
as the fettered heart feels no better until
it is de-controlled.
Caged, a muzzled soul will unravel slowly
wanting freedom, believing,
when turned adrift emancipation widens
as it homes for relief.
So unhand my heart, release me, disband
this neglected affair
and leave hold of erroneous persuasion
that shacked means care.
Who I am is unique and of late I begin
again to celebrate
life for my own pleasure, and not for what
others think is my state

I guess that's telling it like it is GO FAY! ww
Excellent advice and attitude FAY ~ thanks for caring ~ and sharing. In each of our lives (as we mature !) we all face losses and disappointments some minor and some life changing. So at some level we can all empathise with each other ~ that is a blessing of MPS. Your final verse is an example (and a challenge) to each of us FAY ! To pick ourselves up ~ dust ourselves down ~ and start all over again. You are inspirational both in you poetry and example ! Yours BRIAN
Humble thanks for this encouraging comment dear Brian - it gladens my heart to know the words which exude from my mind can influence others to reach out for betterment whatever the circumstances. Bless you for your perception of the details within these few lines.
Celebrate your beautiful self Fay!
Where do you keep finding this fabulous poetic language - super stuff Fay.
Thanks a load Michael - am delighted the stuff of my poetic vocabulary pleases your eyes and ears. - - Ah - it just seems to unroll from the subject chosen.
Sounds like a Declaration of Independence. Hope it all works out for you. Why not celebrate our own existence? Freedom is the most precious and precarious thing on Earth. Enjoy! - Phil A.
Muzzled soul will unravel slowly everything here. Asking self that who am I and realizing self is interesting really. Liberation-discharge has a loud call. Very thoughtful poem is shared here.
Heartfelt thanks to you Pintu for all your fine comments after reading my latest work.
