Heart

Bvbyyxdoll

Yesterday I laid in a steaming hot bath; thinking of life, or at least I tried to. My mind stayed blank. It felt amazing in everyway, as peaceful as walking out into the daylight smelling the fresh air listening to chirping birds. I then put my whole body including my head underwater. I could hear my heart, it was beautiful. It started off at a regular heart pace, then suddenly it started slowing down little by little. I felt calm, free from everything. As my heart started begging for oxygen my heart started pounding insanely. I then lifted my head up for air. I felt everything. I felt the stress, the depression, my past. My heart began to ache.

WELCOME ALEXIS ~ Thanks for a very challenging and beautiful first poem ! Love the way you described your underwater experience ! Would you rather be a MERMAID ? I can empathise I love being underwater ~ not just in the bath ~ but in rivers & lakes & the ocean ~ calm at one with the fish and the weed and the rocks. O to be a merman ! Because we have lungs and not gills our free diving experience is normally only 2 or 3 minutes but we can scubadive ! Like you when I am "underwater" I always feel i am in a stress-free dimension and at PEACE ~ AMEN ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B.
