Shadows

MaddieRae

She looks back on the things she has done..

Wondering why it ever mattered..

She is tapped inside the world she knew...

Trying to grab on to anything that will set her free..

She keeps getting sucked inside this world..

crying and begging to be forgiven..

As she grew the clouds disappeared..

She realized what she feared..

Where just shadows that feared her more..

Her new found kindness was her rope..

And she grabbed and climbed..

She'll never go into that world again..

The shadows now hang their heads in regrets..

while she holds hers up high..

leaving the shadows trailing behind..

WELCOME MADDIE ~ Thanks for sharing a great Poem. We all experience times (when we are growing up) when we feel trapped in a vortex. However (in my experience) however dire the situation ~ we do grow out if it ! I am sure that many of our members will empathise with this poem ! Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN (UK) Please check my Poems ~ Thanks B.

Very good write, those clouds will disappear as your head goes above them and heads for the light.
