A View From my bedroom chair....
This day has slowly come to pass,
Night draws in, sunlights unwelcome guest.
Street lights shine down their pyramid of glare,
And illuminate this hand in hand walking pair.
My neighbours car, upon his driveway parks,
Wearily from his mode of transport, disembarks.
His day was long, but this night will be much shorter,
Too soon a groundhog Day resumes for this reporter.
A carpet of diamonds fills this blackboard sky,
Noise of a police helicopter, sky patrolling streets nearby.
Still so many windows lite up, though late,
Maybe finishing washing up the last of dinner plate.
I can see number 36 burning the midnight oil,
Writing his novel entitled "ozone less, our world will boil"
He seems to find words for those his garden pass,
But not the time to cut his longer by the day grass.
This full moon night Watched from my bedroom chair,
Will man at 24 grow hair, and on all fours, growl and stare.
Moans from wife, I must now get in bed,
But Tomorrow night I'll resume my watch and Imagination fed...

I can only see two properties from the front of mine so I miss out on this - great descriptive piece PH
Thank you Michael
To sit and watch
Nature from
A chair in your house
Must be wonderful also
Good write PH, it is amazing what can be seen at night.
Thank you GF60
It's almost like
A daytime at night
As there is so much
That goes on...
A watchful and very perceptive eye transcribes the happenings in such engaging terms here - as a lover of good imagery my favourite line has to be "A carpet of diamonds fills this blackboard sky," - - Great read P.H.
Thank you Fay
I hoped you'd like
It...
I love the rhythm of the poem and felt I was there, in your chair!
Thank you so much Down the rabbithole

I love rhyme in poetry and try to tell
A story also... If you get any spare time
I have wrote a fare few..
You might like "A Devil called chocolate"
I'd like to know what you think of any of them.
I'll read some of yours shortly...
It is peaceful just sitting and looking out into the lights and darkness. Good job P.H. 🙂
Thank you WBL

I have a really old
Wooden chair that
Makes that beautiful
Creaking sound when
I sit down... It's as if
