Unsung Whispers.

Fay Slimm.

Unsung Whispers.

A little silence mothers more truth for those
who dare seek and embrace
the unheard,
and if not smothered, stillness guides minds
to find in quiet
something of beauty waiting behind sound
to become to the listener
more than an antidote.

Only to those who see unsung whispers grow
quietude can, soundless,
escape to peace and
compose a useful calmness, lightening days
where mysterious
halcyon balm reaches the core of healing,
for only at rest can stillness
stifle noise-stress wholly.

Such a wonderful tribute to silence, one of my most favorite things. Thanks Fay! Shhhhhh 🙂

I read it in silence - and what a good read it is.

Very good. More examples of the silence that can say so much.

I love silence. I love whisper of silence. I understand silence and language of silence as language of God. Silence embraces us to guide in stillness. Beauty waiting behind sound welcomes us. With lightening days composing calmness and feeling we feel stress goes out. An outstanding poem is shared with great imagery.

I think as writers we have more of an affinity for quiet than most. To me, the silence brings a clarity not otherwise attainable. The noise of living perhaps can bring inspiration, but only silence can release the muse. Well I think I'll be quiet now. Nice poem. - Phil A.

Good write Fay. Silence can be wonderful and can speak to us in many ways, if only we would listen.
