Lily-white flower,
Symbol of the Day.
What Jesus endured,
Before arising again.
Stands for such purity,
New beginning and hope,
Innocence and peace,
For us all will envelop.
Standing tall in the wind,
Against difficulty, defiance,
To comfort us all,
On this, we’re reliant.
So, take care for this flower,
Linked with the Resurrection.
Appreciate its importance,
Always show affection.

Lilies are such beautiful flowers, and on this weekend so significant. Reflecting on their place as a symbol, on the purity of the Easter Lily, and their connection to the resurrection, filled me with hope on an otherwise depressing weekend of International threats.
