In the Bath

Garry

Armed with soap and trusty sponge,

Hot water in the tub

I jump in and clean my creases

With a therapeutic scrub.

Then when my body’s resting

It will really make me laugh

To know my bottom’s working overtime

Making bubbles in the bath

  • Comment from author about the poem: Inspired by a wonderful book of poems. "I fancied you until i saw you yawn" by Robbie. Dundee. Poetry can be short, and funny. It doesn't have to be many lines long full of angst to be powerful and worthwhile. Highly recommended. Either this or Roger McGough.

I love it. I really appreciate humourous poems as I really struggle to write them. Good job!
