Fits tune: Canonbury
(one tune to 'New every morning is the love')
******
Some song I shall to my God sing
And from my heart, life, praises ring
He Lord of all, to Him I bring
Body, soul, spirit, everything
Forgive where self put first, no care
And where conditions may impair
Me your voice hearing, may I turn
Afresh to you, and of you learn
If heavy or afflicted be
Help me your timing for to see
Bring healing, comfort, be my guide
Holy Spirit in m reside
And flow out as a watering stream
Sharing the light of your bright beam
To share with others, evangel
Your goodness and your wonders tell
Stream of waters as rivers pure
And stream of consciousness, though poor
At times my be my love, desire
Come light a flame in me of holy fire
Then praises worthy, [you I] worship here
Recognising your presence near
Around, within me, guard from sin
That I thus be cleansed, whole within

- Comment from author about the poem: Originally a 'said' poem with no tune. But with a few amendments, it fits and 8.8.8.8. metre tune. Could not seem to find a clip with this tune.
