My Dark Room

Nicki Jackson

As I sat in the dark room,

The light seemed to fade.

More and more each day,

Until you came

The light seemed to fade

You walked in.

Until you came,

I was empty.

You came into my life

You took the darkness out

I was empty

I was worthless, with no meaning

You gave me life

As I sat in the dark room

I was worthless, with no meaning

Then you brought me light.

WELCOME NICKI ~ Thanks for your first poem ~ I Love "before and after" LOVE POEMS ! Before we had digital photography we had "DARK ROOMS" in which we developed our NEGATIVES and printed our POSITIVES ! It was all very exciting because you had no idea what the photo was like 'til you developed it and printed it ! Your dark room seemed a bit like that ~ and then (thank God) something beautiful and positive developed ~ TRUE LOVE ! Thanks for sharing ~ please check my Poems ~ Thanks BRIAN (UK)
