DESPAIR

Michael Edwards

DESPAIR

As blood infused into her cheeks

her eyes confirmed her spoken word.

Savaged by her revelations,

a victim of blind circumstance,

he wore a fire of thorns.

and wept with notes of grief

that echoed through the hills.

Could be about a whole population, Michael, hit by tragedy. Thought provoking.

Could be - or his grief could be the result of the burning thorns on his head 🙂

A powerful few lines here Michael - - the message is couched in some mystery but makes a compelling read. Lovely watercolour too.

Whatever she said, it was powerful, or maybe it was just, "No." Another man crushed by the power of the feminine voice. And the world turns. Great words, Michael. - Phil A.
