Sipping so gently,
Their little beaks.
Fresh hydration,
Their bodies seek.
Dip their heads,
And, gently fill.
Water drops,
Into their bills.
Some dive in,
To take a bath.
Splash with vigor,
Wet wings, thrash.
Into the bath,
That’s filled there so,
They stop for a while,
Get refreshed and go.
Every morning,
I rinse and clean.
Bird bath of mine,
By the feeder’s seen.
I clean the husks,
From sunflower seeds.
An important task,
Bath's germ free.

Welcome
Good write, I have three bird baths to clean out, some birds are fickle about which obpnes they will use.
I hate it when the Robins get in there are make a mess and splash all of the water out. But, the cute chickadees and other smaller ones are very cute and sweet. Thanks Goldfinch!
A fine write for the birdies!
Thanks orchidee!

Thanks Michael. I am in the mood to write about the new Spring season and all that comes with that including the returning song birds. I do enjoy them very much! Thanks again 🙂
Splendid poem for spring! Nicely done!
Thanks!!
I like how they line up (or should I say tree up) for their turn in the bath. And the Robins do splash too much. Nice write. - Phil A.
Thanks Phil. The little birds have manners 🙂
