Island of Acceptance.

Goldfinch60

There it is!

I can see it

Waiting for me!

It seems forever

That I have been searching,

Searching the seas,

For somewhere to land.

I can see it,

My saving grace.

There must be food,

There must be water,

There must be hope.

I get nearer and nearer

And then see what it is,

It is a castle in the air,

And those with no money

Cannot land.

So once more I am left,

Left sailing the void

Looking for an island,

An island of acceptance

Where all are equal

And all live in harmony.

Erm, will you have to sail around the world to find it? And will you find it on the trip round the world? A fine write.

Hi Orchi, I will have to find the right planet first!

Let your search not be limited to this world . Just a tiny speck of the cosmos . Reach for the stars as we are already stardust once removed from home .

      • Goldfinch60

I always look towards the stars.

A dream voyage to a magical destination only found in dreams - now there's a poem starter for ten - well expressed -

That magical destination is there somewhere, one day it will be found. Thank you Michael.

Like the metaphor seeing something that looks promising, but as you get closer the wrinkles appear and it is not for you 🙂
