Want to go back,
To when I was young.
Up at the crack of dawn,
Ride my bike through town.
Eat most anything,
I would want.
Great metabolism,
Never a second thought.
With Spring being here,
Past behaviors, go back.
Only within limits,
Of my joints and back.
A fresh-face feeling,
To greet the day.
Still be responsible,
Safe boundaries, don’t stray.
Still eat healthy,
Don’t overdo.
Stay young at heart,
Dump the blues.

The blues are there sometimes so that you can appreciate the myriad good times there are in your life. Good write.
I would have to agree with you Goldfinch! And, thanks for the comment.
A fine write.
Thanks orchidee!
Good advice - I agree to stay responsible is the best way of dumping the blues. Great read.
I appreciate that Fay. I have been fighting a bad case of laryngitis and it makes me feel down in the dumps. Trying to rhyme my way out of it. Thanks so much.
After a day of hard graft in the garden I feel I've earned a bit of chocolate - errr perhaps not - mmm - well just a couple of bits.
Chocolate is great with red wine (as I think you are well aware of) 🙂 You should treat yourself for all of your hard, beautiful work.
It would make me blue to give up the Blues .
Very clever swingline! Thanks for the visit 🙂
