DEEP FRIED FISH with fries & peas ~ a pint of English Ale ?
O IF YOU PLEASE ! Fresh from the Sea it pleases me ~ O if it's
CAUGHT that Night ~ with eyes and scales still gleaming bright ~ A Noble
KING could only wish ~ from Palace Kitchens ~ Would come such a Noble Dish !

Bass is a tasty fish
Catfish is a good one to
Trout is another I like
Perch as well
They all stand out
For one reson or another
It is hard to pick a favorite
When confronted by this choice
Because I like them all
THE SEA BREAM

They live in harmony in schools
in northern Europe and the Med
an oval fish with nutty flavour
clean and satisfying texture
locally caught, sustainable
a favourite of the worlds Chefs
and king of many recipes
a king among all fish.

MY DOGFISH

I have a little dogfish and I take it to the park
It often wags its tail - it’s a shame it cannot bark
it doesn’t like the collar and it doesn’t like the lead
and when I try out discipline it simply takes no heed
so if you ask I'll tell the truth, I’ll certainly not be lying
a dogfish isn’t faithful, it’s a pet that’s not worth buying.

He swims round and round at very full throttle
And looks like a bright yellow HOT WATER BOTTLE !

- Comment from author about the poem: Everybody loves FISH ~ dead or alive. They are nutritious and a unique food ~ They all taste fishy Whether its Crab or Lobster or Salmon or Cod ! They always tastes delicious and delicate and so much better than any sort of Meat ~ in taste ~ texture and temerity ! You can not only eat fish ~ you can catch them (and then eat them) ~ we always get our Pork in tins ! I like deep sea fishing best ~ much more fun (and wetter) than shooting rabbits or pheasants ! You can keep them in cold water ~ warm water (Tropicals) ~ salt water (Marines). You can visit them in Zoos & Aquaria and swim with the dolphins and scubadive with them in coral reefs ! You never need to take a fish for walk or wash it or groom it and a tank of fish is much better to watch than most American TV ! Please add your own poem ~ the choice is infinite ! Love BRIAN XOX
