LIMERICK 28

Michael Edwards

LIMERICK 28

There was a young fellow from Bude

who was often extremely odd.

A pal in his mob

said: ‘Please shut your mouth’

To which he replied: ‘Silly fruit cake!’

  • Comment from author about the poem: Athelstan and Barrington have now got girlfriends and Cedric finds it quite funny. Plus an unrhyming limerick.

Ohh, you've refined that limerick so it don't rhyme. Will it be too much for me if I 'translate' it! I might swoon in me sheltered life! heehee. Good write and pic.

Yes -Thought it would be fun to tease a bit - should read thus:

There was a young fellow from Bude
      who was often extremely rude.
      A pal in his mob
      said: ‘Please shut your gob’
To which he replied: ‘Go get screwed.

      I looked at the picture
      I read every word
      Then scratched my head
Then said ,"If it has wings
      feathers
      flies
      It must be a bird

      MICHAEL ~ I knew a Man
Whose Limericks they never would scan
When asked why it was ?
      He replied its because
I always try to get as many words in the last line as i possibly can !

      Thanks for Limericking ~ BRIAN

The visual complements the LIMMY because
It doesn't rhyme either ~ TOUCHE
