Lazy Rags Day

P.H.Rose

Lazy Rags Day.....

There in my day of solace.
My day of ultimate rest.
Sitting in my comfy chair,
Wearing my old string vest.
I look up to the sky,
Holding my cup of favourite tea,
Wondering if there's anywhere,
          I would rather be.
      The warmth of the sun,
     And sounds of all around,
         Hold me in my chair,
As if I'm tied and bound.
         Silk or even designer,
        Or any thing more finer.
I wouldn't swop for these old rags,
And a trip to my local diner....

My wife buys all her clothes at Goodwill, though we can afford
Nordstroms. A diner is on my bucket list, one with the juke box selections at every table. Nicely done.

I love clothes and only yesterday sorted out a load of old ones for the charity shop. I enjoy them so much I don't have any that I could call old and comfy - I do like to look good and, importantly, up with fashion despite my age. I don't even possess any tee shirts but have a vast collection of long and short sleeve shirts and casual trousers. One of our local charity shops often gets job lots of quality shirts brand new direct from well known brands and I am not above buying them when I see something I like Only wear a tie and formal shoes and a suit for funerals and weddings. With so many clothes shops in the high street I often wonder why so many people actually look so scruffy and fuddy duddy and out of date these days (I'm sure you don't PH) . Don't know what all this says about me.

        A man of style
        Nothing wrong
        With that...
        Thanks Michael
