Words as I fall asleep...

P.H.Rose

        Words as I fall asleep

I cannot speak this life of shame.
The poison burns, Unrevealed inside.
No one knows the paths it took.
Like serpents sliver on branch and brook.
Time cannot be the healer here.
What was, what is, will always be.
No smile, no frown, just grey dark days.
All is the same, till this journey ends.
Such waisted time, I hear your thoughts.
But this was cast so long ago.

Words filled with darker colour bring to the fore a life of regret..... a haunt of a read but so poetically expressed.

Thoughts are always in the ether and sometimes those thoughts from long ago come back into our Spirit. Good write.
