I sit with the paper in front of me,
The pen in my hand,
And I write.
I write words that take me away,
Take me away from my life
Into a world of joy and love,
Where the sadness of my world disappears.
The pen writes so many thoughts
Some meaningless,
But more are meaningful.
As I sit and write I start to rise
Like the Phoenix from the ashes,
The words raise me to the day,
To the real world
And all its struggles.
Those words keep me strong,
Strong enough to face reality,
The reality in my life.

A fine and true write G. But oh woe, I did not heed your words in 1066. You told me not to tell Harold to look up!
Well written.-
Thank you Michael.
Beautiful
Thank you alanis.
Why can't writing be reality . As bright and beautiful and full of emotions , hope sadness , love and hate . Sometimes much more reality than life itself
So very true S. I manage to lose myself in words and music every morning while my wife is still in bed.
I fully understand and it saddens me that you are having struggles. I admire your turning to writing as an outlet. Writing that is meaningful and inspiring.
Thank you Augustus.
