My Lovers and I

Jasminex

No matter what relationship I'm in
No matter who I choose to see
One thing will never change
And that's my lovers and me.

When I'm all alone
And I rest my stress filled head
I dim the lights seductively
And then he joins me in bed

His words are always captivating
He whisks me away from reality
However, this is not a normal love story
My affair will never end tragically.

Oh I know "lovers" is plural
You're right there's never just one
As soon as I find one tedious
I soon pick up another when I'm done

My partners know about the affair
Yet I'm reeled in like a fish on a hook
I'm greatful that they are understanding
Nothing comes between me and my book.

Thanks for sharing JASMINE ~ Even us Men escape into the World of Love Novels from time to time ! They can be fulfilling and much less expensive than Physical Lovers but (alas) never as satisfying ! Thanks for honouring BOOKS ~ Yous BRIAN X
