It's harder 'cause it's no longer a fantasy.
Something real between you and me.
At least that's how I choose to see,
but maybe its all make believe.
Try as I may; try as I might.
The words never seem to come out right.
I never want to wake up from this dream,
'cause, here, you belong with me.
If I told you now how I feel,
would it scare you away?
If I speak these words,
would it make you appreciate,
all the times when nothing was said?
Words just sitting in my head,
and we could just go on being friends.
I'm scared you won't see
all the ways that we can be
something more than a fantasy,
our new reality.
I'm afraid we won't be able to ignore
if you don't want something more.
We won't be the friends we were before,
but I just can't do this anymore.
I can't pretend to be,
especially when I feel differently.
What do you want?
I can't keep on guessing,
though I can't shake the thought.
I should give it more time,
then maybe it'll be fine.
I could get on with my life.
I'm done telling lies.
You may not think
what I've begun to see,
but we are on the brink
of our new reality.

If you sent it to me ~ I would be flattered and I would think how lovely that a lovely smart Girl like you would send me such a letter ! In the past I have both sent and received "Love Letters" just like this which "request" a response. Some of the Ladies I wrote to said YES (and some NO !) It was the same with my response ~ to some Ladies I said YES ~ and to others NO. But in every case we liked getting the letter and thought better of them even when the answer was NO. In your case it all depends on what the BOY thinks of YOU. If he likes (loves) YOU and wants to date ~ that is the outcome your heart desires. If he politely says NO at least you tried and you have to start again. Better to have reached out in LOVE than done nothing ! SEND THE LETTER / POEM ! Thinking of you ~ Yours BRIAN (UK)

All sound relationships are built upon communication . Each word shared is a brick in the foundation of love . Love is the taking from your partner . The more each one takes from the other the more they become together . If he does not take from you , you cannot give him love . And you must take from him to share his love . Show him , talk to him , and share your thoughts with him . And it will be revealed .

Telling love to crush is one difficult task if they are our friend...I too have passed through this...don't tell openly but tell small small words that you like that person more than a friend..know their reactions then propose..

You must show it to him otherwise you will go on not knowing one way or the other, if he is not interested you must move on as stagnation is not an option. Good write. Welcome to MPS.
