Poems From Formal Prayers Series - 3

Fits tune: Doncaster

('Put thou thy trust in God')

********

Be with us Lord, in prayer

Answer by your grace fair

Direct our way that we attain

Salvation with no feign

That in this life's changes

And too in its chances

Of this mortal life, may we be

Defended by you, see

See our state, Lord, and give

Your help that we may live

Come to us, help us graciously

So we be whole and free

A 'lickle one' (little one) for today. I do go on a bit sometimes, with 6 or more verses sometimes!. The original hymn has more verses than mine!

Thanks STEVEN for a lovely piece of Organ Music ~ very uplifting ~ for me ! The PRAYER POEM is also excellent. V 1. We ask for God's Presence & Guidance V 2. We ask for God's Protection ~ and in V 3. We pray for the outcome to be Wholeness and Freedom ~ AMEN. There is a nice little sermon in this elegant poem ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ BRIAN
