Fits tune: St Clement
('The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended')
Parts of Psalms 121 - 126
********
Psalm 122 v.6
O pray for the peace of Jerusalem
God looks to bless, and not condemn
They that do love you, they shall prosper
longing hearts unto God's city stir
Psalm 122 v.7
Peace be within your walls, 'tis God's dwelling
Sing praises to Him, the great King
And in your palaces prosperity
That God's kingdom and reign shall be there
Psalm 121 v.1 - 2
I shall mine eyes lift unto the hills
God's presence my troubled thought stills
From whence comes my help from God above
heaven, earth made, sustains me with His love
Psalm 121 v.5 - 8
The LORD is your keeper day and night
He slumbers not, but in His sight
Does keep you, and He not sleeps, forgetful
But shall protect you in your ways all
Psalm 125 v.1
They that do trust in the LORD, they shall be
Like as mount Zion, steadfast see
Cannot be removed, abides for ever
Shall be cut off from the LORD never
Psalm 126 v.1
When the LORD did our captivity
Turn, we did dream, and we were free
Then we did sing and laugh in fullness
For God had helped us, us did bless
Psalm 126 v.6
So in prayer if going forth weeping
Bearing precious seed, we shall bring
Our sheaves with rejoicing, God shall hear
Answer our petitions, to us draw near

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 9898 metre. A few extra syllables added where they will fit in. Also a look around grand Salisbury Cathedral in the clip.
