Tomorrow Will Do

Goldfinch60

“I’ll do it tomorrow” comes the call,

There may be many tomorrows,

But tomorrow may never come.

So if it needs to be done

Do it now,

As sometimes doing it tomorrow,

Becomes doing it never.

This is the story of my life! I am totally and completely a natural procrastinator. This speaks to my inability to do things that are important, at a convenient time!

Thank you for reading and understanding my words.

Whilst I do agree with this (if something needs to be done I can't wait to do it) my eldest son takes a different point of view, He always says that procrastination is a virtue. For example he was continually putting off painting his conservatory much to the annoyance of his wife. Then, due to a change in circumstances they decided to completely replace it - just as well he put it off. Often if left unaddressed an issue can actually go away ... !

I can be a procra-wotsit too at times. When 'tomorrow' gets here, it's then 'today', and so on for ever. Have I been at the sherry?! A fine write G.

Ah but if it's never done you have to ask yourself whether it needed doing in the first place.

          This poem should
          Have my name in
          The first line as
          It discribes me
          Perfectly...
          Great write GF60

If you put tomorrow's list onto today's then when yesterday comes you won't be sorry .

MaƱana. As we age it seems not a bad concept.

            • Goldfinch60

Manana has such a feeling of panic to me.

Tomorrow, that you may no be here?. Your age is relatively young. Obsessing what you are going to so? I hope your tomorrows come and go Gently so that you live in today and not fret.
