Salisbury City

ShannonXx

Salisbury City

A wonderful place

Authentic

Awfully pretty

Lounged outside

A summer scene

Flowers blooming

The sun facing me

Shorts

A bikini top

Vulnerable

For everyone to see

The heat indulging me

Oil surfacing on my skin

With a Cathedral sat in front of me

Burnt lungs

With a charcoal stain

Liver covered in acid

Slowly wasting away

City boys give me a wink

A summer romance in the mist

Friends by my side

Sunglasses hiding our eyes

With old fashioned buildings resting behind

This place is home

Where memories will keep

A place you will always find me

It's been a long time since I was in Salisbury - as an artist whenever I think of the Cathedral I think of Constable - great write Shannon.

I've a slight link with the current Bishop of Salisbury. He was once a Vicar at a London church that I visited a couple of times. Though I don't live in Salisbury or London!
Am I 'in' with the house of Lords, and their waffle?! heehee.

Great visual. I had a buddy I used to hang ou with when I was single. There were several places to go "girl watching."

Before I retired I worked for a computer software company and part of my job was to install our software on Council computers and Salisbury Council was one I used to help. I never did get a chance to look around the city which was a shame.
        Good write.
